Eastham Ferry Hotel, WIRRAL, Merseyside

Built in 1846 this former hotel on the banks of the Mersey is near the old Eastham Ferry and next to the abandoned site of of a Victorian zoo which is now part of Eastham Country Park. Still popular with day trippers and walkers even without the ferry or the zoo. The pub is a large open plan area served by a central bar with the emphasis on food. Décor is a mixture of historical memorabilia and photographs and more modern furnishings and artwork.
