Hotels, Taverns, Pubs and Bars in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Publocation UK is a work in progress. So far we've listed pubs in London and across much of England, and we're adding the rest of the United Kingdom county by county. So if you don't see a pub we should get to it soon. Cheers, Team Publocation.
West Yorkshire likes its bitter with a tight, creamy head, usually pulled through a sparkler. Leeds was Tetley's town from 1822, when Joshua Tetley leased a Hunslet brewery, until the brewery closed in 2011; its Art Deco headquarters is now a contemporary art centre. Whitelock's, licensed since 1715, keeps a late-Victorian interior of mirrors, brass and a tiled bar counter. Keighley's Timothy Taylor, founded in 1858, brews Landlord, four times Champion Beer of Britain. Saltaire, by contrast, was built by Titus Salt without a single pub.
