Hotels, Bars, Taverns and Pubs in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Publocation UK is a work in progress. So far we've listed pubs in London and across much of England, and we're adding the rest of the United Kingdom county by county. So if you don't see a pub we should get to it soon. Cheers, Team Publocation.

North Yorkshire takes its brewing seriously. Samuel Smith's Old Brewery at Tadcaster was established in 1758 and still ferments most of its beers in slate Yorkshire squares. In Masham, two breweries stand yards apart: Theakston, founded in 1827, and Black Sheep, set up by Paul Theakston in the early 1990s after the family firm was taken over. York's Ye Olde Starre Inne claims the city's oldest licence, dating from 1644, and up on the Pennine Way the Tan Hill Inn, at 528 metres, is Britain's highest pub.
