Hotels, Pubs, Taverns and Bars in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

Publocation UK is a work in progress. So far we've listed pubs in London and across much of England, and we're adding the rest of the United Kingdom county by county. So if you don't see a pub we should get to it soon. Cheers, Team Publocation.

Lincolnshire's inns grew up along the Great North Road. Stamford's George, rebuilt by Lord Burghley in 1597 and later a busy coaching inn, still hangs its gallows sign across the street. Grantham's Angel and Royal occupies the site of a Knights Templar hostel of 1203, and Richard III is said to have ordered the Duke of Buckingham's execution there in 1483. In Lincoln, the Adam and Eve Tavern claims to be the city's oldest pub, while Batemans has brewed at Wainfleet since 1874, its windmill a trademark.
