Hotels, Bars, Pubs and Taverns in Kent, United Kingdom

Publocation UK is a work in progress. So far we've listed pubs in London and across much of England, and we're adding the rest of the United Kingdom county by county. So if you don't see a pub we should get to it soon. Cheers, Team Publocation.

Kent's oast houses, built to dry the harvest, are a reminder that this is hop country. The Fuggle hop emerged from the Weald in the 1870s, and until the 1960s East End families decamped to the hop gardens every year for a working holiday. Faversham's Shepherd Neame dates itself to 1698 and claims to be Britain's oldest brewer, a title Shropshire's Three Tuns also contests. In 2005 the Butchers Arms at Herne, a former butcher's shop, became the first micropub, and the idea has since spread nationwide.
